The "Assasination" of CSL

Waliao! Chua Soi Lek got sacked from MCA! For "damaging the party's reputation". After a year and a half. So what if he had an affair? The only problem with the whole thing was him being caught doing it (pun, again, maybe intended, maybe not).

And this fler is supposedly the biggest threat to the MCA president. Talk about taking a leaf outta the pages of The Godfather. Eliminate your threat. Like how Michael takes out Moe Greene, Barzini and Tattaglia. And I thought I was fanatical about The Godfather, having read the original and the 2 spin-offs, watched the trilogy and played the first game!

And this means the opposition will prolly wait at the sidelines, sticking out their necks, waiting for him to bukake on them. But he replied with a "flat no" when asked if he was joining the opposition. Why flat? I personally would like a loud resounding NO. Preferably in B#. But then again, that's what she said* :P

* That's what she said is currently THE comeback in the US of A and meant in a sexual way. I dont get it. I think I used it right though.

How does a person born and raised in Japan for 15 years considered a Malaysian even if his parents were?

My cousins from England aren't Malaysians though my aunties are. So this kid is being claimed simply because he played for a top Jap football club and now training at Sao Paolo, Brazil?

So very "Malaysian" to claim everything as ours. Remember Vijay Singh a few years ago?

Quis Custodiet Ipsos Custodes?

The above is a Latin phrase from Juvenal, a Roman poet.

It translates to Who Will Guard The Guards?

Think MACC and think the phrase.

Your Country Needs YOU!!!!!

"Ask not what the country can do for you, but ask what you can do for the country" - JFK-

So this is only patriotic to an extend. But yea, Malaysia needs us. According to Malaysiakini according to some UN study, the country's birthrate has fallen from 3.6 to 2.6.

Where do I sign up????

Musical Interlude

Two bands this time around. One is a blues rock artist called Joe Bonamassa. This fler plays the guitar and his playing sounds like another blues maestro, Eric Johnson. Saw his article in Seeva's old guitar magazine and decided to youtube his videos (always the best place to check out songs). And this was the first song we came across and it's called The Ballad of John Henry.

Massively heavy blues rock and fuckin awesome vocals and this is one song that blew me away the first time around. This song is a cover of a very old song though. But I love the way Bonamassa brings his own thing into the song.

The next band is one which I found out only by reading The Star. It's a superband with Chili Peppers' drummer Chad Smith, guitar virtuoso Joe Satriani, and Sammy Hagar and Mike Anthony, both former members of Van Halen. This band is called Chickenfoot. No shit. I kid you not.

Some of the songs I checked out (again) on youtube were pretty awesome. If you're expecting a Joe Satch show or a Van Halen or a RHCP show, this is not it. Joe Satch holds back alot and doesnt show off much, though same cant be said for Chado (who btw is my biggest drumming influence) because it's well, Chad. Songs are a mix of rock and roll and there are traces of funk, possibly due to Chad's drumming. Currently the top independant band on Billboard, I think this is a big middle finger/big fuck you to all other rock bands who are posers. Here's a song called Oh Yeah!

ps: A small announcement. Andy Timmons will be having a guitar clinic at Bentley at The Curve on I can't remember when. So if any guitarists are reading this, here's a lil something for you.

Engraaaaaaand Part 2

So, somebody had a revelation about how students don't need to pass English to receive their SPM certs. I mean like wtf?? You dint know??? Dint your nephews and nieces tell you?? Apa la uncle??

And apparently they don't teach English grammar in school, only conversational English. Yes, we are a great society that's teaching our kids to give directions to Mat Sallehs to Petaling Street, to sell the same Mat Sallehs pornos and cheapo watches and ordering "chicken rice" instead of "kai fan" and fried noodles instead of mee goreng.

I seriously never knew that English grammar wasn't being taught in schools. No I dont have nephews and nieces. And to top it all off, we have certain quarters who do not want English to be a compulsory pass in SPM. I cant remember what's-his-face but he is the President for the Movement To Abolish Teaching in English thingy and he said something along the lines of :

If the student passes all the subjects, but not English, then he fails his SPM. He becomes a victim of English colonisation.

How the fuck does someone becomes a "victim" of English "colonisation" if he doesn't pass the paper??? Colonisation?? Really?? If a student can pass all other papers (which he most probably answered in English anyway) then you're telling me he cant fucking pass English??? It doesnt involve calculus, or Newton's Laws, or Boyle's Law, or the fucking ecosystem for god's sake!!!! Colonisation my ass. Please dont use words that are too big for you.

Why are we being retrogressive? Why call for the abolishment of the universal language? How do you expect us to keep up with the world when everything else is in English??? From Facebook to the Internet programmes, ALL English. Your dumbass of an opinion (that's right! I'm calling you a fucking dumbass for having an opinion) is gonna produce generations and generations of people who are gonna have "no face" when it comes to international setting.

These people fucking DISGUST me.
