Of Being Busy and Everything Else in Between

It is the last week of the semester and everyone is busy, or acting like it. Too many blardy assignments due, along with group project presentation and the rush to finish the Gen. Psych syllabus. The only comfort is knowing that there's only three days of exams (well for me anyway) and the fact that there is like a month and a half long semester break.

The trip to Redang is still in the planning stages. Trying to get people to go for a holiday is a pain I tell you. Some of 'The Others' want to go to freakin Genting for the breaks. I mean why the fuck would you want to stay for three days in a place like Genting??!! If it's a one day affair then it's ok, but three blardy days??

On a more serious note, celebrity and heiress Paris Hilton was released from prison today. She did not have to complete the original 45 day sentence because she was well-behaved during her stay in prison. It's either that reason or another, we would never know.

At the home front, it was Eric Chia who was acquitted from the charge of Criminal Breach of Trust from Perwaja. Altantuya's murder case is still being heard in court. The DPP wanted Altantuya's cousin's ( can't remember her name) statement to be expunged (obvious meaning la..go look it up if you don't know:P). She said something about the records of their entry to Malaysia was "erased". To this, the DPP made a motion to expunge the statement because "the answer is not an answer to the court's question, it went much beyond". *Source: today's Star paper*

Sounds like a serious case of 'kantoi' right? The motion was not expunged and neither was the witness cross-examined but the damage was done. Hopefully, this little piece of "answer which went much beyond" would play a part in determining the outcome of the case.

Remember the good ol' days when wrestling was fun to watch?? Now it's not so fun anymore because WWE( World Wrestling Entertainment for those of you who have been living in a cave) lost another one of its prominent sons. Chris Benoit (pronounced as Ben-war) aka the Rabid Wolverine, apparently shot his wife and kid before finally taking his own life. The charismatic fler with a mother-of-a-pain finishing move (The Crippler Crossface, try it on someone you don't like:P) and one the coolest entrance songs will be deeply missed by the industry and fans alike.

Well that's all for now. If you want to read Patrick Teoh's (veteran actor and thespian) blog for some funny insight on the gomen check out http://niamah.blogspot.com.. NIAMAH!!!
