Engrand!!

Oman wants to take lessons in English from Malaysia! AHAHAHAHAHA!!!!! They want to learn to be able to teach their students in schools there. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Motherfuckers gonna regret it!! Seriously man, don't go to a school where the teachers are all prepared before you come. Go randomly! Then you know how fucking sucky TEACHERS in schools can be.

VI is one school you can find teachers who CANT speak proper English. Yes! That school which recently got the heritage status and is a cluster school and is an elite school since its conception.

My Form 6 Bio teachers could not speak English to save their lives. FORM fucking 6!! And my brother (who learnt English and Science since Form 1) said that some teachers used to explain in Malay.

So hoo-fucking-ray!! Come learn Engrand from us. Maybe we'll teach you a thing or two. Like how to say "that's mean" instead of "that means". What's mean till today I dunno. Maybe it was the DNA or the hormones or the ecosystem. Somebody help me and lemme know when you know what "that" means (pun might have been intended)

Bumiputra

Wahhh some dude came up with the idea of making all those who were born after Merdeka (31st August 1957 for you who doesn't know) a Bumiputra. Brilliant fucking idea.

One small problem. My dad was born in March 1957. So he cant get the status. Hahaha!! Kesian my dad.

The Big Fuck You

I recieved this comment from one Unit Siber Malaysia on my previous post:

Amaran kerajaan Malaysia. Sekian.www.gov.my

Last I heard, isu isu sensitif concerns racial and religious stuff and I have never written anything about the two. Everything else is fair game.

Therefore, by the theory of Big Fuck You, I have conclusively proven my case and you receive a lil something from me, Unit Siber Malaysia:

Another Day, Another Gig

Bleeding Edge played another gig on Saturday 25th April at IACT Street Party in PJ. Yeap, I didn't say anything because we only found out on Thursday and I had half an hour to find a singer. Which I did. I'm proud of my persuading skillz. :D Plus I had my last paper for finals on Friday and right after that hit the studio to jam.

The organizers said we cant swear or anything and so we decided to play radio stuff and plus only Sudar knows the lyrics to Condom Song and he's in Asstralia. I managed to rope in Ronald, a friend from high school and has this grungy voice. Like 3 Doors Down fler.

After a total of 5 hours of jamming, this is the product.

We kicked it off pretty slow and this is Here Without You and it sounds horrible because none of us instrument flers are used to playing something so slow.

This is a Justin Timberlake song played instrumental and we decided to play this only an hour before the show.

This is Radiohead's Creep. Seeva unrealizingly shows the middle finger with his strumming hand at about 1:25 and lookout for a chinese guy giving a CREEPY look.

This song belongs to Unbinded Saviour, Seeva's old band for which he was the bassist. It's another instrumental and pretty short and we're working on it to make it longer. Stim song moment when I start whacking the drums.

As always a crowd pleaser. Changed the ending abit. Realized now should have been better. Look out for the Creep chinese guy in orange.

I wasn't too happy with the drumset provided as it sounded like shit overall especially the snare and the secondary crash and hi hat had some mounting problems. But the amps and monitors were excellent.

All in all, not our best show but that's what 5 hours worth of practise would do to you.

New Age Upon Us

Howdy you bastards. To those who still visit my blog (as evident by the morons who type weird stuff on google), thanks for sticking by. To those about to rock, I salute you.. errrr.. Whatever.

Anywayz, unless you were living in a fuckin secluded cave in Malaysia (Gua Niah dowh!), you would know that Malaysia has a new PM. Fuck you if you dont. Even my friends who aren't Malaysians and are overseas know (as evident by 3kc's remark: What Najib? Why not what's the other guy's name....errr.. Owh yea! Anwar Ibrahim. She's in US and not a Malaysian. I'm talking crap).

So, this Najib fler (who is he la????) is the new PM. Took over from what's-his-face. So, his incoming Prime Minister-tial speech had something about 1Malaysia. Like, you know, like one Malaysia, one people, one love kinda thing. Very promising shit, I mean stuff. Haven't heard a thing about corruption from him though. Anywayz, alotta people don't want him as he is suspectably (?) involved in some shady shit. Innocent until proven guilty is what I say.

Yea, so ermm, ermm, he wants to make changes. HAH! Bullshit! Liar liar, pants on fire. Argh, I cant remember what I wanted to say (I'm just writing exactly as I think in my head). But but usual la. These politicians. Say all the nice things and then you realise he just fucked you over. No changes seen in the past few weeks he's been in office.

BUT, now the media cannot mention Razak Baginda's name. Oopsy! How silly of me. I just mentioned his name. This Razak fler is a close friend of Najib. And was supposedly involved in said shady shit. And now noone can mention his name about the shady shit. Only must focus (I like it in BM better: FOKUS) on the two policemen who were sentenced to hang. Cheh, no more freedom of media speech. Eh what the fuck am I talking about? Nothing new kan?

Enuff about Najib. This Anwar fler now. Why is he making alotta buy-elections? BY-elections I meant. Fucker. My dad doesn't pay tax for you to make buy elections ok? Pantat. Eh fucker, who you think you are? Enuff la dey. Dah lah my dad can only send me to Aussie and not US and you waste my dad's money for buy elections. Pukipantat. I can go to bledi US and meet Mr Obama and his new dog ok? And you go and spoil it for me. Noone fucking died so why must sack some sonofabeech (italian accent) and force a buy election. And then BN dont wana fight now summore. Haiz

Your demand for attention something something according to Honestly - Tempered Mental which I'm currently listening. Your bloody demand for attention. The Tempered Mental girl says you and I should be happy and free now, beautiful somehow. You go and make things ugly for what? And Black Label - Lamb of God says something I cant fucking understand even with the lyrics. So why why why?

Fuck you all. I'm layaning the tipsyness as I write this. Dont fucking wonder anymore why I can crap better than you. Because I'm fucking awesome. I fucking rock the world and all you can do is sit down and wank or suck cock. Which I'm pretty sure you're amazing at. I should start blogging more often. Problem is I'm feeling like a Freak on a Leash and I can see, I can see I'm going Blind - KoRn. Jacob Dylan tried turning the engine, but the engine didn't turn. And he lost his only friend. Poor fler.

Finals are on and one last paper to go before Langkawi (hopefully). I miss Tai Ti and I had a weird dream about Left 4 Dead after playing it. My life fucking rocks. So I'm not complaining. Owh the tipsyness rocks better :D

ps: Banana banana banana terracota banana terracota terracota pie yo!! I'm in the Viscinity of Obscenity :D

pps: If you wanna comment, dont fucking tell me I dont make sense. I would know when I read this tomorrow :D

ppps: Love you bastards

Matahari Meletup Part the 2nd Review.. of sorts

Where do I begin? Where do I begin? My neck hurts like a bitch, my voice is partially gone, I'm officially burnt out and I hold KoRn liable for all these. Not like I'm complaining. But more on that later. Lemme begin from the beginning, which was Sunburst 08.

One year ago, during the first Sunburst, my friends and I made the pilgrimage to Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club. But not before some dramas and detours. A journey that started at 230 when Greg picked me up from my place. Along the way, we decided to drive all the fucking way to Seri Kembangan to collect some tickets from Sudar's friend. And when we finally get to Bukit Kiara at around 4 or 5 (I cant recall), it was raining pretty heavily and Sudar made the mistake of winding down Greg's car window which could not be wound back.

So, we headed out from the car park after 10 mins and paying 10 bucks and went to Plaza Damas to try and fix the window. We finally gave up and Greg took the car to the mechanic and came back a few hours later. All these were last year.

This year's Sunburst had some drama too. From friends who pulled out last minute, same friends who were supposed to buy tickets from some of us, to... well just that la. Friends who were supposed to buy tickets but pulled out last minute. Anyhooo, this time around there were only four of us who made the pilgrimage; Greg, Ronald, Kenneth and I.

We got there at 7pm, peak concert hour, and were in time to watch local act Estranged perform. Well, nothing much to say for Estranged as they performed some really nice songs which varied between fast and slow songs. I entered my first mosh pit for the day. Right after they finished playing, Indon band Nidji were next at the stage next to it. (6 stages in all, main stages were Sky and Sun) Nidji are what I would call a disco rock outfit. Jumpy riffs and dance-able songs. And in case you think they sound familiar, their song Shadows is the promo song for Heroes.

Me, Greg and Kenneth left Nidji when we thought they were at their last song and went to the Sky stage next to it to wait for possibly the best band in Malaysia, Butterfingers. After waiting for Nidji to finish a few more songs, Butterfingers came on. Needless to say, they rocked the crowd that day... NOT!!!

Butterfingers played a very very disappointing set. Only one or two songs were fast and the crowd were not even moshing. And when the crowd requested for Chemistry Between Us, Emmet refused by saying that they played the song only last week at Istana Budaya. What the fuck man?!! So, after a disappointing set, the four of us leave to makan while this band called Agrikulture (origins I dunno) played some pretty kewl 80s disco shit.

When we got back, it was time for NERD and needless to say, they rocked the crowd. For fuckin real. I was pleasantly surprised at the energy of the songs and band which got everyone moving. At one point, Pharell Williams sounded a photographer for pushing back the crowd and threatened to get off the stage if he does it again. And what they did next was just plain kewl. They called up a number of guys from the crowd to "lose their minds" on stage with them. And then after a few songs, they called up the girls. This guys really know how to entertain a crowd so hats off to them tho I dont listen to their songs.

A few songs before NERD ended, we left Ronald again to the Sun stage where KoRn was set to play. After waiting for about 15 mins after NERD finished their set, KoRn comes on stage and starts kicking things off. The fuckin crowd goes fuckin wild and everyone starts moshing and headbanging. I was fighting back tears for the first two or three songs, as I was pretty overwhelmed and still could not believe the fact that I was watching KoRn in KL. KoRn performed mostly their old songs, namely, -in no particular order- Clown, Faget, Shoots and Ladders, Right Now and the usual crowd faves, Freak on a Leash and Blind. After a massive one hour set, Jonathan Davis said goodbye and promised that it wouldn't take them another 15 years to come back here.

Now, a note to politicians. You say you still need to govern us according to our races?? I say you should have been at Sunburst when I had a Malay and a Chinese guy next to me, hands on shoulders and headbanging together. No, I'm not making that up. It happened quite a number of times. And after every moshing and headbanging, those involved hugged another person regardless of their race, colour, religion or whatever. Everytime I go to a concert, I see the true face of Malaysia when people regardless of ethnicity mosh and have fun together. So fuck you.

ps: Greg and I pwned the mosh crowd at Sunburst due to our experience in the more violent mosh pits of Rock The World. All you get in Sunburst is pushing and shoving and you can last as long as the mosh goes on (which is very short by the way). RTW on the other hand, everyone goes legs and fists first and you can barely last a few minutes in the mosh let alone for an entire song.

pps: Here are some pics of the night. And a video not taken by me.

Kenneth, Greg, and me.

KoRn live a Sunburst KL 09.

Ronald, Kenneth and me

KoRn performing Freak on a Leash. Not great video quality but you can hear them. :D

A treat to those of you who were there and for those who were not. I did not take this video. I took a video of the beatbox part on Freak on a Leash but it has no sound when I play it on my pc. I'll try to post it up soon.

Matahari Meletup Part the 2nd

So, another year has come by and therefore another year for Sunburst. Last year's line-up was awesome with the like of Incubus, George Clinton and P-Funk, The Roots, John Legend etc etc and when I heard the news that the only "band" which confirmed their attendance was NERD and Coldplay was a "maybe", I decided not to go.

By then, shitloadsa people had bought the early bird tickets and that was all because the thought Coldplay was coming. Stupid fucks, dunno the difference between "maybe" and confirm. Since Coldplay and NERD aren't our (me and my friends), we decided not to go. Until Greg's party. That day I saw the Sunburst ad in the newspapers and I saw the face of Jonathan Davis. That's one face I would love to see live and therefore started spreading the message that KoRn was playing this year. I mean fuckin KoRn man, KORRRRNNNNNNN!!!!

So, thanks to Double J and the Xpax promo, me and my friends are going to Sunburst. For the sole reason of KoRn. And also Butterfingers.

Hopefully, someone sponsors Kerp a ticket and then I can rock out with the fler. To sponsor Kerp's ticket, please visit here.

And I'm also hoping that I come back from Sunburst with another man-crush on KoRn like I had with Incubus last year.

ps: Lamb of God played in Aussie then in Jakarta. It's like they dunno a piece of land between Thailand and Singapore exists. A big Fuck You to all those who wont let metal bands play here. FUCK YOU again.
