Another Day, Another Gig

Bleeding Edge played another gig on Saturday 25th April at IACT Street Party in PJ. Yeap, I didn't say anything because we only found out on Thursday and I had half an hour to find a singer. Which I did. I'm proud of my persuading skillz. :D Plus I had my last paper for finals on Friday and right after that hit the studio to jam.

The organizers said we cant swear or anything and so we decided to play radio stuff and plus only Sudar knows the lyrics to Condom Song and he's in Asstralia. I managed to rope in Ronald, a friend from high school and has this grungy voice. Like 3 Doors Down fler.

After a total of 5 hours of jamming, this is the product.



We kicked it off pretty slow and this is Here Without You and it sounds horrible because none of us instrument flers are used to playing something so slow.



This is a Justin Timberlake song played instrumental and we decided to play this only an hour before the show.




This is Radiohead's Creep. Seeva unrealizingly shows the middle finger with his strumming hand at about 1:25 and lookout for a chinese guy giving a CREEPY look.





This song belongs to Unbinded Saviour, Seeva's old band for which he was the bassist. It's another instrumental and pretty short and we're working on it to make it longer. Stim song moment when I start whacking the drums.



As always a crowd pleaser. Changed the ending abit. Realized now should have been better. Look out for the Creep chinese guy in orange.

I wasn't too happy with the drumset provided as it sounded like shit overall especially the snare and the secondary crash and hi hat had some mounting problems. But the amps and monitors were excellent.

All in all, not our best show but that's what 5 hours worth of practise would do to you.

Prom Videos

This time I swear I wont mislead you peepz. These are videos of my band playing for my prom.


First song, well not exactly a song but a blues jam with a little twist, Bleeding Edge style.



Second song was an original; it's called the Condom Song or Sad Song, depending on the crowd. Song was composed almost 5 years ago when we skipped school and went jamming. You think that was punk? We went jamming DURING SPM. Now that's fuckin punk. Btw, the song's about this guy who wants to have sex with his girl and asks his dad for condoms. So they have sex and two weeks later he finds out that his girlfriend is pregnant.



Last but not least is Britney Spear's Hit Me Baby, twisted Bleeding Edge style too.

Fete de la Musique

I know I haven't been posting much because

1)College stuff
2)I'm lazy

So in line with my laziness I shall copy-paste what CD -who did a review for one of her classes- wrote:



".........This has been the 6th year the Fete de le Musique has been held in Malaysia. Unfortunately this year's event sucks balls did not manage to achieve the level of success that its predecessors had. A month of planning proved insufficient as there is no organization that was displayed through the azzholez crew or organizers. Though the talents that performed during the festival were impressive, notably the band Bleeding Edge, but their music and talent is greatly overshadowed by bad sound and lighting. The stage is set but unfortunately the sound wasn't. The crowd wasn't at all energetic and the organizers failed to rouse them. What was supposed to be a musical festival that's supposed to bring people together turned into a karaoke show with bad sound. Extremely dull and not at all exciting, the music festival of 2008 is a failure."



So there you go, a nice review up their asses with a special metion of my band (who played impromptu stuff on stage, comments from friends ranged from: scary, cross between manson, system of a down and one buck short, karat and awesome, messed up but fuckin intriguing, makes me wana stab ppl).
